We understand that a website should not only look great, it needs to get results. The Online Consulting team is the ideal mix of creativity, strategy, technical know-how, and reliability. We work together closely to deliver your project on time and on budget.
Each client has a designated Project Manager to liaise between you and the team. Lots of things need to come together when we build a website and we have fantastic Project Managers who know the process inside out.
We meet with you regularly to make sure the process is in line with your original concept. If you’ve had a rethink and you need to make some changes, that’s not uncommon with websites and web development so we adapt accordingly. If we need to tweak we tweak, if not it’s full steam ahead to testing and then we go live.
Managing Director
Sam’s favourite animal would have to be the seal: fun-loving, slow and endearing on land – yet fast, sleek and graceful under water.
And that pretty much sums Sam up – when he’s with a client or when he’s socialising, he is like a seal out of water – friendly, unassuming, funny. But when he gets into the studio – he’s lightning-fast, expert and focused on the job at hand.
Sam is Online Consulting’s Creative Director and General Manager – which means running the show, while at the same time performing in it. He has a degree in music, which means he has a knack for marrying visuals with sound to create amazing videos. He’s also a sounding board (pun intended) for his Video Production Manager Jarrad – as they bounce ideas off each other to create innovative video and photography projects.
Sam’s a ‘big picture dreamer’. He loves creating a big idea. Once he understands what the client needs – he sees a visual solution with a soundtrack running behind it. It doesn’t matter if that solution is a video, a website, or an IT system – there’s always a visual and music soundtrack running in the back of Sam’s mind. That’s just the way he works.
He revels in delivering (seemingly) simple solutions to complex problems. He always starts a project by asking: “Is it possible? How are we going to do it? What tools are we going to use to do it?”
Sam has built an international team that is able to deliver the ‘big picture dream’ he sees for his clients. The fact that the team stretches from Australia to India and on to the Philippines is testament to Sam’s ability to share that vision with others.
When Sam isn’t performing for and with Online Consulting, his real passion is his family. He spends as much time with his wife Cassie and their children, Layla and Ted, as he possibly can. And if there’s a spare moment left after all that – then it’s off down the beach for a sneaky surf.
Sam’s motto?
“Imagination is reality.”
Senior Project Manager
Wilma loves superheroes. When she and her girlfriends head out to the movies there’s normally an argument. While they prefer romance films, Wilma will always choose ‘Spiderman’ and ‘The Avengers’ over ‘Endless Love.’
But her favourite character is Superman. If she were to become a superhero herself, that’s who she’d choose. ‘But as the suit wouldn’t fit, I’d have to be Superwoman’ she joked.
And that speaks volumes about Wilma. Married for over 20 years, Wilma lives in Manila with her two sons, aged 18 and 3. Her husband commutes to Abu Dhabi for work, so Wilma holds the fort at home. By day she’s Online Consulting’s Content Manager – by night she’s Supermum.
Wilma’s secret is being a good listener. She needs to be, because her role at OC is both as a Client Liaison and Quality Control. She works with the development team in India to review the content produced – and is charged with ensuring it matches clients’ needs. She studied as a pharmacist undergraduate before switching to programing, and she spent 12 years as a school administrator – so her command of written and spoken English is excellent. She’s also a great communicator – using her listening skills to patiently understand what people from different cultures are saying. As she puts it “When we talk, we need to meet in the middle.”
Wilma’s goal is to enhance OC’s web development and copy output – to ensure it meets the highest standards. Then she liaises with clients to make sure it meets their needs. All in a day’s work for a Superhero!
Apart from socialising with her girlfriends and catching the occasional adventure movie, Wilma’s passion is basketball and wrestling. While girls at school were busy playing with make up, she’d be wrestling with the boys.
So next time you’re chatting to Wilma about your web project, make sure you ask her about what it’s like to be a superhero!
Wilma’s motto?
“To infinity and beyond…”
Digital Marketing Manager
Carpe Diem sums up Jackie perfectly – she’s always ready to take on a new challenge and it doesn’t seem to matter what time of day it is. “Bring it on” could also be her motto but she chose seize the day, perfect in her role as Digital Marketing Specialist. Jackie oversees client’s Adwords campaigns and SEO from program management to execution. She has quickly become an invaluable member of the team and brings with her experience working in sales and marketing where she developed her skills in time-management and adaptability. This means she is well organised and a great problem solver and communicator.
Jackie takes her inspiration from the wise words of her mum who worked hard, was kind hearted and encouraged Jackie to do what she loves, and from her nephew, Elrond, who fills her days with warm hugs and butterfly kisses.
When Jackie’s not working, she loves to travel. That’s why she wouldn’t mind being able to teleport, just like Blink in the Marvel Universe. That way she could visit new places around the world and take her friends with her. You see, Jackie would much rather have her family and friends along to share in the wonders she sees on her travels. She’s the kind of friend who wants to share the fun times but is always there to lend a helping hand or a sympathetic ear over a cup of coffee.
Jackie’s motto –
Believe you can and you’re halfway there.

Video Production Manager
There’s no stopping Jarrad – he’s the jack rabbit of the team – always moving forward. He thrives under pressure, and loves being thrown in at the deep end – never giving up til he’s got the right result.
He tends to do (at least) two things at once. His mind bouncing from one thing to another in rapid succession. Like the way he shoots video – while he’s lining up the shot to make sure every tiny element is in the right place, he’s also thinking about the bigger picture – the art direction, the lighting, and how the video will be viewed. In fact he likes to work backwards in his mind from the outcome to the minute detail, then back again.
It’s exhausting just thinking about how Jarrad works – but there’s absolutely no doubting his talent. He’s an extremely talented cameraman and videographer, who’s across all the cutting edge technical elements of direction, production, editing, and graphics. He’s been shooting video for years, despite being the youngest member of the team. It’s given him an intuitive sense of how to make video really interesting to watch – which is his yardstick for success. Jarrad’s philosophy is that if no one’s going to watch the video you’ve created, or study the image you’ve shot – then you’ve failed. So he keeps going til he has succeeded.
His attention to detail is legendary. He once spent two hours moving a product a few millimetres back and forth before exclaiming – ‘Hang on, there’s a bit of empty space here.’ Yet the outcome of the shoot made it all worth while – the viewer is drawn to the product, the light glistens in the background, and the slow pan lures you in to the product.
Hobbies? Jarrad loves to surf, but frankly he’s too busy getting up at the crack of dawn shooting video and photography to catch the best waves.
Jarrad’s motto?
“Love what you do and you’ll never have to work a day in your life.”
Copywriter and Content Strategist
Richard chooses his words carefully and says what needs to be said in as few words as possible. It’s the same when he writes. Richard understands that the audience want their information in snackable portions and clear and concise language.
If Richard had the option of being an animal then he’d be a Meerkat. Meerkats like hot climates, they’re methodical and they perform their role for the communal benefit of the Meerkat community. Meerkats also have a natural immunity to the venom of scorpions that scour the Kalahari Desert which Richard thinks is a good thing if you happen to find yourself in the Kalahari Desert.
Richard’s role is to advance your organisation’s identity; to promote its core competencies, values, products and services and to focus your audience through imaginative and compelling content. Richard likes to work closely and collaboratively with clients to craft a content and social media strategy as the foundation for value creation.
Richard’s motto?
Me, we.
